Train-Car Crash Injures One: Baltimore County Fire Officials

Life-threatening injuries resulted after a train and car crashed in Baltimore County Tuesday morning, officials reported.

ROSEDALE, MD — One person was hospitalized with life-threatening injuries after crashing into a train in Rosedale Tuesday morning, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department. The train did not derail, officials said.

Crews were called to Rosedale Avenue at Gilmore Avenue for the train-car crash at 7:09 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 17.

One person was trapped and had to be rescued from the vehicle, fire officials reported.

Emergency medical services personnel took the individual to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center for treatment of life-threatening injuries, according to authorities.

Before 8 a.m., crews said they were clearing the scene.

There were no delays for those commuting by rail after the CSX train and car collided, the Maryland Transit Administration told WBAL Radio.
