Train Kills Pedestrian Near Route 40 In Baltimore County: Police

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A man died after being hit by a CSX train Tuesday night in eastern Baltimore County, according to police.

Brian Michael Abshire, 40, walked along the tracks when he was hit and killed, investigators said.

Police were called to the area of Pulaski Highway/US 40 and Middle River Road after 8 p.m. for a report of a person hit by a train.

The victim was not identified, and the investigation is ongoing, police said before 11 p.m.
