Troopers Responded to 377 Crashes in Maryland Saturday: Police

Maryland State Police said more than 100 vehicles were disabled on icy roads Saturday.

During Saturday's ice storm, Maryland State Police said troopers responded to 377 crashes, mostly minor.

The largest trooper-led response occurred around 5:30 a.m. on the inner loop of Interstate 695, police said. Because of black ice near MD 702/East West Highway, drivers lost control and a 15-vehicle crash resulted.

Part of I-695 was closed for six hours, according to police.
