Truck Leaks 75 Gallons of Fuel in White Marsh: Officials

After a truck crashed on US 40 at MD 43, teams of specialists were called to respond, according to White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company.

WHITE MARSH, MD โ€“ Hazmat personnel have been requested at a crash involving a fuel spill at a major intersection in White Marsh Monday afternoon, first responders say.

At approximately 3 p.m., the White Marsh Volunteer Fire Company reported that a truck had crashed on westbound US 40/Pulaski Highway just east of MD 43/White Marsh Boulevard, and fuel was leaking into a culvert.

The fire company said that the Maryland Department of the Environment and hazardous materials teams were called in to assist with the leaking fluids.

Both of the truck's saddle bags had opened and leaked approximately 75 gallons of fluid, the fire company reported.
