VIDEO: Singing Valentine Surprises Perry Hall Doctor

expected to spend his like any other Tuesday, seeing children at his pediatrician's office in the Perry Hall Professional Center. 

His wife, Deanie, who works at the office, had other plans.

She arranged for a singing valentine from the Beltway Quartet, a singing group composed of women in the .

"This was pretty nice and very emotional. I was really taken by surprise," Garcia said.

The group—Rosalie Miller of Middle River (baritone), Jacqueline Schwinn of Brooklyn Park (lead), Barbara Greffen of Catonsville (tenor) and Phyllis Dettmer of Reisterstown (bass)—had another face-to-face valentine planned for the afternoon, in addition to six phone performances.

"It's Valentine's Day, so we sing romantic songs," Miller said.

"They're always so surprised when we start singing," Schwinn said.
