Perry Hall residents are invited to an October meeting with Baltimore County Public Schools officials to discuss long-term planning to accommodate growth in the area.

One elected official, whose district includes Perry Hall, said that he wants the school system to address overcrowding.

“In neighborhoods from Carney to Perry Hall, younger families are moving into established neighborhoods, leading to overcrowded schools,” Councilman David Marks said.

“In 2013, I joined with the Perry Hall Improvement Association in asking Superintendent [Dallas] Dance to initiate an enrollment review in the northeast,” he continued. “He agreed to do so, and I am very happy I look forward to the start of that process this fall.”

The October meeting in Perry Hall is to get a sense from the public of their priorities in terms of facilities—existing and needed—to accommodate growth. It is one of five forums around the county.

The community forum is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 8, at Perry Hall High School (4601 Ebenezer Road).
