UPDATE: East Joppa Road Reopens After Water Main Break

PERRY HALL, MD — A water main break disrupted water service and traffic Wednesday in Perry Hall; by Thursday morning, officials said that the issue had been resolved. The break occurred on East Joppa Road, leading a closure of Joppa Road between Belair Road and Seven Courts Drive, according to the Department of Public Works.

Officials said there was a 16-inch break in the water main, which was discovered Wednesday morning. Crews worked into the night to repair it.

The water main break created a sinkhole in the 4100 block of East Joppa Road, WJZ reported. The break occurred at approximately 4:30 a.m. on Wednesday and by Thursday morning had been repaired.
