Water Main Breaks Crop Up Near Perry Hall

There are traffic impacts as water main repairs are underway.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A water main break has closed a stretch of road near Nottingham on Wednesday, Feb. 6.

Work on the break along Walther Boulevard was requested at 2:27 a.m., according to Baltimore City's Department of Public Works, which handles the water system for Baltimore County.

As of 6:25 p.m., repair work was still in progress, based on the water main repair map.

According to WJZ, there were detours around the broken water main near MD 43 and Walther Bouelvard.

WBAL reported the road collapsed in the area.

There is another break east of Perry Hall, in Middle River. That one is located along Hacker Road, off Bird River Road.

Public works officials indicate that break was reported Monday afternoon.
