Weather Delays, Plowing Underway in Perry Hall
Baltimore County under snow emergency plan.

Although snow is tapering off, a host of government agencies and schools are closed or opening late. Perry Hall is under a winter storm warning until noon Tuesday.
Tuesday School Closings, Delays
- Baltimore County Public Schools will be closed on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
- Perry Hall Christian School is closed.
- Perry Hall Y is opening at 10 a.m. Tuesday.
- Towson University is opening at noon.
- CCBC campuses will open at 5 p.m.
- Celebree Learning Centers will open at 10 a.m.
- Goucher College will open at 9:45 a.m. Facilities employees should report as scheduled.
- McDaniel College will open at 10 a.m.

- Baltimore County government offices will open at 11 a.m.
- Baltimore County Public Library branches are opening at noon Tuesday.
- The Baltimore County Public Safety building is closed to nonessential personnel.
- Baltimore County Circuit and District courts are closed on Tuesday, Feb. 17.
- Federal government offices in the D.C. area are closed. Emergency and telework-ready employees should follow their respective policies.
Road Conditions: A snow emergency plan is in effect for Baltimore County, meaning vehicles cannot park on designated snow routes.
On Tuesday morning, Baltimore County crews were focusing on clearing main roads; they plan to hit subdivisions by the afternoon rush hour, according to Baltimore County Emergency Management.

At 7:20 a.m., the National Weather Service reported that snow was tapering off in most of the region and would end by mid-morning. Conditions are hazardous and roads are slippery, the weather service reported. Those who must travel should allow for extra time and be careful on snow-packed or untreated roads.
Transportation officials advised citizens not to travel Tuesday if possible. “Stay home,”said State Highway Administration spokesman Charlie Gischlar, just before 5 a.m. He noted pavement temperatures were low and roads may be icy.
At approximately 6:45 p.m. Monday, Baltimore County Emergency Management reported that crews were out salting the roads and people should stay off them. The State Highway Administration also urged people not to drive.
Weather Forecast: At 7:20 a.m., the National Weather Service reported that snow was tapering off in most of the region and would end by mid-morning.
Unofficial snow totals from the weather service indicated that by midnight, 3 inches had fallen in Dundalk and 1.2 inches in Long Green.

Monday School Closings
- Towson University closed at 6 p.m. Monday. Classes starting at 5:30 p.m. and after were canceled. Otherwise, classes ended at 6 p.m., according to an announcement from the university.
- Goucher College canceled all classes scheduled to begin after 6:30 p.m.
- CCBC campuses and extension centers closed at 5 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 16. Evening classes and events are canceled. See more.
