Weis In Fullerton Plaza Announces Grand Opening Date

NOTTINGHAM, MD – Weis Markets has announced the grand opening of its new store in Fullerton Plaza. The grocery store will be the 52nd for the chain in Maryland when it opens on Thursday, April 12.

Weis on Belair Road will encompass 67,500 square feet. The space has undergone significant renovations to improve the space where Kmart used to be in the shopping center.

When it opens, the market will offer a large selection of products and services:

• Extensive produce department with an array of organic options
• Full-service pharmacy
• Meat department with custom-cut certified Angus beef
• Deli with hot foods bar and hand-rolled sushi
• Seafood department
• Online ordering
• Gas N Go Fuel Center with six pumps

The store will employ 140 full and part-time workers. Interested applicants can apply in the store or online.

Weis is based in Sunbury, Pennsylvania. The company began in 1912 and has grown in recent years due to the acquisition of other stores, such as those operating under the Mars banner. It has more than 200 stores in Maryland, Delaware, New Jersey, New York, Pennsylvania, Virginia and West Virginia.

Weis will open at 7927 Belair Road in Nottingham at 6 a.m. on Thursday, April 12.
