White Marsh Pitcher Makes Elite Baseball Travel Team

The young pitcher will play on a highly selective team after making the cut for Baseball Youth USA.

WHITE MARSH, MD - A 9-year-old baseball player for the White Marsh Warriors will be hitting the road this fall as a member of an elite national team.

Cameron Morgan of Joppatowne was selected to be a member of the Baseball Youth Elite, a highly selective travel team.

Morgan batted .500 and pitched four shutout innings during tryouts last weekend in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina, his father Joseph Morgan told Patch. He said there were approximately 200 children from 10 states and Australia participating in the five tryout games.

In addition to playing at the Ripken Experience Halloween Tournament on Oct. 27 in Pigeon Force, Tennessee, Cameron Morgan will compete in the All-American Games from Dec. 28 to 30 at Boombah Sports Complex in Orlando, Florida.
