Body Discovered In Parking Lot At Old Rustic Inn: Police

Police said a homicide was reported in White Marsh, and investigators are asking anyone with information to come forward.

WHITE MARSH, MD — A homicide investigation is underway in White Marsh after a passerby reported a body in a parking lot. Police said the body appeared to have undergone some sort of trauma. The deceased has not been publicly identified.

Authorities said they were called at 7:50 a.m. Wednesday to the 11400 block of Philadelphia Road, where a passerby saw a body in the parking lot of the former Rustic Inn.

The caller thought the body was a Halloween decoration at first, WBAL reported.

Detectives said they were still in the early stages of the investigation shortly after 11 a.m.

Officials ask anyone with information or who saw or heard anything out of the ordinary overnight to call the Baltimore County Police Department's homicide detectives at 410-307-2020.

There may be a reward for tips in connection with the homicide.

Police said the homicide was in the 11400 block of Philadelphia Road.

Before 9 a.m., the Baltimore County Police Department said the investigation was underway, and a spokesperson was headed to the scene.
