White Marsh Precinct Commander Recognized for Crime Reduction
Five precincts in Baltimore County saw crime drop this year, and police said White Marsh was among them.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD - The commander of the White Marsh precinct was recognized recently for helping to drive down crime in 2015.
Capt. Christopher Kelly was honored for his contribution as leader of the White Marsh precinct, where crime decreased by 0.2 percent last year.
Kelly was among five precinct commanders who were recognized for crime reduction in 2015. Others were from Cockeysville, Dundalk, Pikesville and Woodlawn. All saw reductions of 0.2 percent, with the exception of Dundalk, where crime decreased by 1.1 percent, according to police.

"These commanders and the officers that work for them have done an admirable job in reducing crime and I am proud of them," Chief Jim Johnson said in a statement.
"Every day, the members of the Baltimore County Police Department go out there and face criminals who are increasingly becoming more violent against law enforcement," Johnson said. "Despite this challenge, they do their best to make Baltimore County a safe place to live, work, and play."
