The troop began planning for the service project in the fall. After deciding to focus on animals, they discovered a need for blankets in cat cages, toys for dogs and other items. The girls made fleece blankets, decorated tennis balls and held a collection for other items needed by the shelter. On March 23, they presented their donations and received a tour of the Humane Society. They also met the animals. The girls received their awards on March 25.
