Aberdeen Woman Displaced after Mobile Home Fire
There was $5,000 in damage, the fire marshal said.
A malfunctioning water heater in Aberdeen caused a woman to be temporarily displaced overnight, according to the Maryland State Fire Marshal.
The woman, who lives in the 1100 block of Old Philadelphia Road, discovered the fire in the utility room of her mobile home at 5:02 p.m. Friday, the fire marshal reported.
Twenty-four firefighters—from Aberdeen, APG and Abingdon—responded and brought the blaze under control within 10 minutes, according to the report.
The fire marshal determined the cause of the fire was a malfunctioning water heater, which caused $4,000 in structural damage and $1,000 in damage to items inside the home.
The woman was displaced overnight, according to the fire marshal.
