The fire took place over the holiday weekend.
At 10:36 a.m. on Saturday, firefighters were called to Cecil County for a boat fire on the North East River, according to a statement from the Susquehanna Hose Company.
When firefighters arrived, there was heavy smoke showing from the boat that was anchored and the vessel belonging to the Cecil County crew had become disabled as a result of rough water, according to the statement.
