Brightview Hosts Behavioral Health Expert for Educational Seminar
Free seminar on the psychology of hoarding to be held at Brightview Bel Air on Thursday, February 25.

Brightview Bel Air, a senior living community in Bel Air, will host behavioral expert, Dr. Patricia Thompson, DNP, RN for an educational seminar, titled Psychology of Hoarding.
The free seminar for families, friends, caregivers and professionals will be held on Thursday, February 25 from 6:00 pm – 7:30 pm at the community in Bel Air – located at 300 West Ring Factory Road.
Compulsive hoarding impacts between 700,000 and 1.4 million Americans, many of whom are elders. Moreover, a Johns Hopkins University study revealed that about 4% of the population as a whole shows hoarding behavior. That percentage goes up to 6.2 in people over 55.

During the presentation, Dr. Thompson will provide insight into the psychology and effects of hoarding in seniors.
An adjunct nursing faculty member at Harford Community College, Dr. Thompson, DNP, RN has worked at Upper Chesapeake Health for more than 30 years in the areas of Behavioral Health and Critical Care.
