Cecil College receives donation from Maryland Law Enforcement Officers

Donation supports a student majoring in Criminal Justice and interested in a career in law enforcement

NORTH EAST, Md. – The Maryland Law Enforcement Officers (MLEO), Inc. continues to support the betterment of Cecil County residents by sponsoring a scholarship for a student pursuing a career in law enforcement.

Cecil College was the recipient of a $1,000 donation from MLEO to be awarded to a student majoring in Criminal Justice enrolled in six (6) or more credits with a minimum cumulative 2.0 GPA.

Established with a founding gift of $1,500 in August 2004, the MLEO Scholarship Fund provides annual, need-based financial assistance to a Maryland student planning a law enforcement career. The recipient must be in good academic standing.

Maryland Law Enforcement Officers, Inc. is a non-profit organization headquartered in Baltimore, comprised of more than 1,000 current and former law enforcement officers throughout the state. MLEO annually contributes to various colleges to support scholarship funds to help students plan careers in law enforcement.
