Cecil County Sheriff's Office Hiring Deputies

Do you dream of being a law enforcement officer? Here is your chance! The Cecil County Sheriff's Office is hiring deputies; applications are due by July 12, 2013.

Those interested in the position must fill out an information sheet, which is attached to this article. Once this form is complete, email it to judy.johnson@ccdps.org or send it to Judy Johnson at the Cecil County Sheriff’s Office, 107 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, MD  21921. Applications must be postmarked by July 12. Applicants can also deliver their information sheets in person to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office at 107 Chesapeake Blvd., Elkton, MD  21921 by 4 p.m. on July 12.

Candidates must complete a two-hour written examination. Within two weeks of that exam, applicants will also take a physical agility test, which includes things like being able to pull a trigger ten times and doing 16 push-ups in one minute. There is also a psychological evaluation, background check, oral examination, drug screening and polygraph test.

For deputies, the starting salary is $39,853, according to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office.
