Cecil Sheriff: Port Deposit Man's Body Found in Truck in Driveway

The man had multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office.

The Cecil County Sheriff's Office is conducting a homicide investigation into the death of a Port Deposit man whose bullet-riddled body was found in his truck outside his home, officials said Thursday.

Deputies said Wednesday they found Jeffrey Adam Myers, 33, dead from what appeared to be multiple gunshot wounds in the 1500 block of Prinicipio Road.

"We’re waiting on confirmation from the medical examiner" for the official cause of death, Lt. Michael Holmes of the Cecil County Sheriff's Office said.

"We believe the autopsy is being conducted and we’ll get the official word before the day is over," Holmes said Thursday afternoon.

At 4:50 p.m. Wednesday, the Cecil County Sheriff's Office was called to the 1500 block of Prinicipio Road in Port Deposit for a reported shooting.

"Nearby residents reported gunshots," according to Holmes.

Myers was found inside his Ford truck at the end of his driveway, Holmes said. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to the sheriff's office.

Holmes said that approximately one-quarter mile of Prinicipio Road was shut down as police collected evidence Wednesday evening.

A "dark colored vehicle" was reportedly seen in the area around the time of the shooting, according to the Cecil County Sheriff's Office.

The Harford County Sheriff's Office was asked to keep a lookout for an older Ford Mustang with two men inside related to the shooting, according to The Baltimore Sun.

Holmes said he could not confirm the number of suspects, citing the active nature of the investigation.

As of Thursday afternoon, Holmes said: "No arrests have been made."

The Cecil County Sheriff's Office is asking anyone who was in the area of the 1500 block of Principio Road between 4:30 and 5 p.m. Wednesday to contact its criminal investigation division at 410-392-2117.
