A mother called 911 for help when she went into labor early Wednesday, but the baby wouldn't wait.

Baby Zoe was ready to meet the world early Wednesday morning.
Crews from the Joppa-Magnolia Volunteer Fire Company were dispatched at 4:47 a.m. to a house in the 500 block of Meadowood Drive in Edgewood to assist a woman who was in labor. The department said on its Facebook page that when firefighters and paramedics arrived it was clear that the birth was imminent.
“At 4:58 am, on the 2nd floor of the home, the Edgewood woman gave birth to a healthy baby girl,” the department said. “A loud scream from mom was followed by a loud cry from baby Zoe.”
