Harford Schools Delayed 2 Hours on Tuesday

Schools will open two hours later than usual Tuesday due to the potential for additional inclement weather, Harford County Public Schools spokeswoman Teri Kranefeld said Monday night.

Services for prekindergarten students and preschoolers will be canceled for the morning, Kranefeld said.

Harford County Public Schools will reevaluate the situation Tuesday morning, Kranefeld said.

"With a chance of refreeze over the evening hours due to low temperatures throughout the area and a chance for more inclement weather to begin in the morning .... Parents are encouraged to consider making contingency plans should a closure occur," Kranefeld said.

School was closed Monday for students in Harford County after Sunday's snowfall.
