Perryville Junior League Softball Falls at U.S. Regionals
The softball team returned from the East Region Tournament following two losses.
The 2013 season ended for the Perryville Junior League Softball team this week.
After two losses at the U.S. Regional Junior League Softball tournament—against New York and Delaware—the team headed home, CecilDaily.com reported.
The Perryville team proceeded to the East Region Tournament after winning its second consecutive state title, according to ExploreHarford.com, with a July 25 win over Hagerstown's Halfway Little League team in Sharpsburg. Perryville claimed the district title July 3.
The East Region tournament began Aug. 2 in West Haven, CT. According to CecilDaily.com, the Perryville team was eliminated Aug. 4.
