Perryville Police Station Plan Calls for Roundabout
The town engineer presented a recent plan for the Otsego Street station.

The Perryville Planning and Zoning Commission gave the green light for plans to proceed for the new police station during its meeting this week.
Town Engineer Ralph Ryan presented a site plan for the police department, which is currently housed in a trailer on Otsego Street.
Most notably, the new layout calls for a roundabout separating the police station from the town hall between Otsego and Broad streets.
Based on feedback from the police chief, Ryan said he was going to add a separate emergency entrance in a revision to the drawing presented.
"Officers would have to negotiate the roundabout and that would slow them down," Ryan said.
As next steps, officials will present the revised site plan before Perryville and Maryland commissioners, Town Planner Mary Ann Skilling noted.
