DUI in Port Deposit, Drug Charge in Charlestown
The Cecil County Sheriff's Office provided the following information.

Drunk Driver Derailed
A Havre de Grace woman was charged with driving under the influence, among other traffic violations, after her vehicle was found stuck on the railroad tracks in Port Deposit Sunday.
At 2:47 a.m. on May 19, a Cecil County sergeant responded to a Pontiac parked on the railroad tracks with the engine running, approximately 200 feet south of the railroad crossing at Center Street.

Approximately 100 feet from the vehicle, a train stopped after the 911 dispatch contacted the train service.
A witness pointed out the suspect, who reportedly thought she was turning onto Main Street in Port Deposit when she entered the train tracks. She smelled of alcohol and failed field sobriety tests.

The vehicle was removed by tow truck and the woman, a 23-year-old from Franklin Street, was charged with DUI.
Man Charged with Drug Posession
A Perryville man faces a drug charge after a traffic stop in Charlestown.
At 9:20 p.m. on May 18, a Cecil County sheriff's deputy stopped a driver on West Old Philadelphia Road at Louisa Lane for an unlawfully modified exhaust system.
There was a strong odor of marijuana coming from the vehicle, according to the deputy, who found two ziplock bags containing what was suspected to be heroin in the center console and traces of marijuana in the passenger seat during a search.
The driver, a 20-year-old from Roundhouse Drive in Perryville, was charged with possession of a controlled and dangerous substance.
