As the population of people who are 60 and older expands, so will the responsibilities of family and/or paid caregivers. Are they prepared for the unique mental health needs of those who want to age in place and stay independent as long as possible?
The Harford County Office on Mental Health will sponsor a day-long conference to address the issues facing caregivers as they support Harford County’s senior citizens. The Emerging Face of Aging: Caregiver Conference on Issues of Health, Mental Health and Wellness will take place on Tuesday June 3, 2014 from 8:30 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. at Harford Community College, Chesapeake Center. The cost is $20 and includes lunch.
