Weather Forces Cecil County Public Schools To Close Early Jan 8

CECIL COUNTY, MD — With the area under a winter weather advisory Monday, Cecil County Public Schools will dismiss early on Monday, Jan. 8, officials said. Afternoon prekindergarten and preschool are canceled.

Cecil County Public Schools announced the following schedule for Monday, Jan. 8:

Prekindergarten and preschool dismiss at 10 a.m.

EHS dismisses at 10:45 a.m.

Secondary dismisses at 11:30 a.m.

Elementary dismisses at 12:15 p.m.

The Board of Education meeting slated for Monday, Jan. 8, has been canceled.

Cecil County is under a winter weather advisory from 1 to 9 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 8, calling for sleet, freezing rain and snow. Hazardous, slippery road conditions are expected.
