PIKESVILLE, Md. (April 23, 2026) – While reaching the quarter-century milestone and honoring its past, the Pikesville Farmers Market (PFM) is relocating to better serve the community and facilitate future growth.

The Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce will move the Market to a long-term home at the historic Pikesville Armory (640 Reisterstown Rd.).Operating Tuesdays, May 5 to Nov. 24, from 2 to 6 p.m., the 2026 PFM will operate with a bigger footprint, offering space for 50 vendors – an increase from approximately 30 in recent years.

“As we celebrate 25 years of supporting local agriculture, small businesses and community connection, moving to the Armory gives us the space to grow intentionally—welcoming more vendors, expanding programming and strengthening food access—while remaining rooted in the values that have defined this market,” said Beth Rheingold, president and CEO of the Greater Baltimore Chamber of Commerce. “This move will position the farmers market as a central part of Pikesville’s future as a vibrant community hub.”

Customers will find even more variety. For the first time ever, the 2026 PFM will feature multiple vendors showcasing fresh produce, meats, desserts, beverages, prepared foods, food trucks, crafts, cut flowers, frozen treats, apparel, jewelry, health and beauty items, gifts, professional services and more.

New this year will be dog treats, an expanded apparel area and more food trucks. To date, 30 full-season vendors and 10 pop-ups are signed up, and the Chamber is accepting additional vendor applications. For the vendor list, click here.

In addition to the larger footprint, the Armory location offers dedicated parking for vendors and customers, easy access, on-site portable restrooms, consistent signage and improved logistics. And for the first time, the Market will have shaded areas and a lawn area for recreational activities. Children are very welcome all season and are especially encouraged to visit on June 23 – Kid’s Day with special entertainment and games!

“We’re thrilled that customers will be able to park, stroll, shop and relax in a park-like setting that offers shade and a grassy promenade,” Rheingold added. “Bring the family –including your dog on a leash – to shop, spend leisurely time and even enjoy a picnic!”

For 25 years, the PFM has supported local farmers, vendors and small businesses. With a welcoming, family-friendly atmosphere and support for food access programs, it plays a key role in Pikesville’s local economy and placemaking efforts. Customers come from all over Baltimore County and Baltimore City.

"Our Foundation is overjoyed at the announcement of the Pikesville Farmers Market moving to the Pikesville Armory this May,” said David Ginsburg, Executive Director of the Pikesville Armory Foundation. “Since our founding, the Farmers Market has always been considered a crucial cornerstone of the community hub we are building here."

The PFM originated at Pikesville Library parking lot, moved to Office Depot (current site of Market Maven) and has operated at Pomona Square for the past decade. McLeaf’s Orchard and Hillside Farms were among the first farms to participate and both will return this year. Urban farmer Karma Francis will serve as the 2026 PFM manager.
