Beat the Heat—Visit a Local Beach

Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz reminds residents that a good way to beat the heat is to visit a local beach.

Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz has a simple tip for its residents in the midst of this heat wave—go to a local beach.

Long drives to beaches aren't necessary since good ones are nearby. 

"The county has two great beaches at Rocky Point and Oregon Ridge as well as two outstanding beaches at Gunpowder Falls Beach at Hammerman and North Point and North Point State Park Beach,"  Kamenetz said in a news release.

The Department of Recreation and Parks also wants to let families know that children ages 11 and under will be let in free at the county beaches. Fees vary at beaches.
