Pikesville, MD — On Sunday, July 19, community members in Baltimore County will join hundreds of events nationwide during the weekend of July 17-19 to honor the legacy of Congressman John Lewis and engage in nonviolent, nonpartisan civic action to increase voter registration and resist threats against the right to vote.
WHO: The event is part of the national “Good Trouble Lives On Weekend of Action,” and is sponsored by a local Pikesville Volunteer group, Pikesville Pillars
WHAT:This event includes two free screenings of the documentary, "John Lewis: Good Trouble" The film, directed by Dawn Porter, premiered in Tulsa, Oklahoma, on June 19 (Juneteenth), 2020, just weeks before John Lewis’s death on July 17th. This event is open to the entire community, including school aged children.
WHEN: Sunday, July 19, 2:00 – 6:00 pm. Film screenings at 2:30 pm and 4:15 pm. Voter registration table open 2:00 – 6:00 pm.
