Coastal Flood Advisory in Effect for Baltimore County

The National Weather Service said tides will be unusually high.


A coastal flood advisory is in effect for Baltimore and Harford counties until 2 a.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Inland areas may also experience effects from afternoon thunderstorms. Storms may lead to flash flooding and damaging winds, according to the weather service, which reported an isolated tornado is possible.

During high tide on Tuesday, the tides will rise approximately one foot higher than normal, the weather service reported.

High tide at Bowley Bar on Tuesday is at 9:33 a.m. and 10:07 p.m., according to the report.

Under a coastal flood advisory, winds and tides combine to create flooding along low-lying areas by the shore.
