Divers Searching at Quarry Lake, FBI at Scene: Reports

PIKESVILLE, MD – The FBI is reportedly at Quarry Lake in Pikesville Tuesday afternoon.

According to WJZ, both Baltimore County police and FBI personnel were at the scene.

The FBI divers were not looking for a body, an FBI spokesman told The Baltimore Sun, which reported the search operation started Monday night and continued into Tuesday.

The lake in Pikesville is supposedly the deepest in the state, at 450 feet, according to the Baltimore Business Journal.

Its name—"Quarry Lake"—acknowledges the property's former identity as Arundel Quarry, before it was turned into a residential and business development in the last decade, the journal reported. Quarry Lake is located off Greenspring Avenue north of Smith Avenue.
