• Ukrainian Festival

Description:  Performing dance groups, including the Lyman Ukrainian Dance Ensemble, the Kalena Ukrainian Dancers, violinist Solomia Gorokhinska, a beer garden and children's activities, Ukrainian novelty, craft and food vendors. And there's a pyrohy/pierogie eating contest.

• Cruisin' For Our Heroes: Antique Fire Engine and Police Vehicle Show Honoring Baltimore County EMS, Police, Fire and Military Personnel

Description:   Motorized emergency vehicle show and demonstrations, rides, flea market, antique cars, honoring area service personnel.

• 39th Annual, Catonsville Arts and Crafts Festival

Where:   Frederick Rd west of I-695, Catonsville, Maryland 21228

When:  Sunday, September 9, 2012, 10:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Description:   220+ arts & crafts vendors, live musical performances, children's activities and variety of festival food provided by Catonsville restaurants.

•  Perry Hall Folk Music Night, featuring Christiana Trenum

Where:  Perry Hall United Methodist Church, 9515 Belair Rd., Baltimore, Maryland 21236 

When:  Saturday, September 8, 2012, 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.

Description:   Monthly "open mike" folk music night. Admission is free, but donations are welcome. The featured performer this month is Christiana Trenum.

• Star-Spangled Banner Weekend

Where:  Fort McHenry National Monument and Historic Shrine, 2400 East Fort Ave. , Baltimore , MD , 21230

When:  Friday, Sept. 7^th, 6 p.m., Sept. 8^th, 9 a.m., Sept.9^th, 10:30 a.m.

Description:   Celebration of the 198th anniversary of the Battle of Baltimore and bombardment of Fort McHenry.  Planned events include parades, fireworks, re-enactor encampments, patriotic music, even a mock naval bombardment.

• Maryland Seafood Festival

Where:  Sandy Point State Park, 1100 E College Parkway, Annapolis, MD, 21409

When:   September 8^th, 11:00 a.m. – 9:00 p.m., September 9^th, 11:00 a.m. – 7:00 p.m.

Description:  45th annual Maryland Seafood Festival, features music,  food, exhibits, arts and crafts and more.

Highlights include the crab soup cook-off and a fishing challenge.

• Fifth annual Real Ale Festival at DuClaw Brewing Co.

Where:  DuClaw Brewing Company, 16 Bel Air South Parkway, Bel Air, MD, 21015

Description:  DuClaw Brewing Co. hosts is fifth annual Real Ale Festival at its flagship Bel Air restaurant. All-you-can-eat buffet includes three roasted pigs, and unlimited beer samples from 20 craft breweries including Brewer's Art, Harpoon, Flying Dog and more.
