What: You’ve never seen a health fair like this before! Northwest Hospital is holding its first Movin’ To Good Health Fair. There will be:
• Dance demonstrations of Zumba, salsa, D.C. swing, hand dancing, low-impact aerobics and stretching exercises.
• Free health screenings- including blood pressure checks and stroke risk assessments.
• Free flu shots
• Participants can bring prescriptions and over-the-counter medications, and LifeBridge Health pharmacists will see if they are safe to take together.
• Medical professionals will be on hand to discuss heart health, stroke prevention, women’s wellness, diabetes, surgery and much more.
• Of course, there will be a raffle.
Why: This event was created to give everyone the chance to see that living a healthy lifestyle can be fun. It’s free of charge, but participants are asked to register ahead of time by calling 410-601-WELL (9355).
