Northwest Hospital Promotes Kelly Corbi to Chief Operating Officer

New leadership role for Kelly Corbi as hospital continues its quest to be the best!

November 10, 2016, Randallstown, MD – Northwest Hospital recently announced the promotion of Kelly Corbi to chief operating officer (COO), expanding on her former role as vice president of operations in order to further improve operational efficiencies throughout the hospital. In her new position, Corbi will take proactive steps to combine the activities of clinical operations and hospital-based providers to achieve Northwest Hospital’s patient-centered care model and “Quest to Be the Best” program goals.

“In her time at Northwest Hospital, Kelly has shown strong leadership and organizational effectiveness. Her ability to drive results makes her an excellent fit for the newly created COO position,” says Brian White, president of Northwest Hospital and senior vice president of LifeBridge Health. “I look forward to seeing Kelly continue to build upon the momentum we’ve begun together at Northwest on our quest to become the best hospital in Maryland for patient satisfaction, safety and outcomes.”

Previously, Corbi was the chief administrative officer at Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown, Md. She has also held leadership roles with UnitedHealth Group and HCR-ManorCare Nursing and Assisted Living Facilities.

Corbi received her Masters of Business Administration degree from Mount St. Mary’s University and Bachelor of Science degree from Penn State. She is also a graduate of the Leadership Maryland program, a diverse group of nominated and selected executives who meet regularly to discuss ideas and solutions affecting the state.

Corbi was also recently named to the board of directors for the Maryland Patient Safety Center (MPSC), the state’s official center for patient safety issues and education. Northwest Hospital has been a leader in patient safety and quality, including partnering with MPSC on a pilot project for patient safety certification.
