One Killed In Pikesville Crash: Police

Police said that one person died and another was injured in a serious crash Monday in Pikesville.

PIKESVILLE, MD — One person died and another was injured in a crash in Pikesville Monday night, officials reported. The collision occurred before 9 p.m. on Monday, Oct. 29, according to the Baltimore County Fire Department.

Officials said a 2013 Toyota Tacoma had been headed east on Milford Mill Road when it hit a support pole for a street light near Slade Avenue.

During the crash, police said the passenger was ejected onto the road.

Evan David Carton, 40, of the 3200 block of Old Post Drive, was pronounced deceased at the scene, police reported.

The driver of the truck was taken to the University of Maryland Shock Trauma Center with serious injuries, according to officials.

By 9:20 p.m., officials reported firefighters were clearing the scene.
