Pikesville High Bows to Rival Schools in Quiz Show
The team participated in an "It's Academic" match.

Pikesville High School students competed in a playoff match Friday against James M. Bennett High School in Salisbury and Middletown High School in Middletown, but ended up in third place.
The scores were:
- James Bennett High School: 595
- Middletown High School: 465
- Pikesville: 410

Another playoff match will be taped May 28 in Baltimore, but the competitors are not yet determined. Semifinal rounds will be played June 4, 11 and 18.

This year, the quiz show celebrates 50 years of being broadcast. It is listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as "the longest-running television quiz show in the world," according to the It's Academic site.
