Pikesville Library Doing Just Fine

Library re-opened on Tuesday and all is well.

The Pikesville Library has been open for about three days now after last Friday's storm, and county officials said that everything's just fine.

Apparently, the library tried to open a few times before re-opening for good Tuesday, according to Bob Hughes, a spokesman for BCPL.

He said that the library opened as usual last Saturday at 9 .m. but had to close one hour later thanks to lack of power and air conditioning. They were closed the rest of the day.

The library was closed, as usual at this time of year, on Sunday, and then they were able to eventually open again Tuesday.

They re-opened for good that day at 1 p.m. and have remained open since then.

Hughes also said that there's no damage to the library from the storm. The only problems they had involved the lack of electricity.

Everything is back to normal with the library now.
