Pikesville's Standout Businesses, Residents to be Honored Today
Pikesville Chamber of Commerce breakfast is set for 8 a.m. at North Oaks Retirement Community, 725 Mt. Wilson Lane, Pikesville.

Today is a big day for Pikesville.
It's the time when the businesses of the honor "the best and most exceptional people in the community," said Sherrie Becker, chamber executive director.
The firefighter, police officer and volunteer of the year are among the awards that will be given out during the chamber's annual Business and Community Recognition Awards Breakfast. It will be held at 8 a.m. at the , which is the event sponsor.

Charlie Kolkin of the will be honored as Volunteer Firefighter of the Year, according to Michael Schwartzberg, PVFC spokesman. The company will be represented at the breakfast by Kolkin and Capt. Glenn Resnick.
Clarence Mitchell IV of WBAL Radio will be the master of ceremonies, and Baltimore County Executive Kevin Kamenetz and will host the event.

Cost is $20 for chamber members and $25 for non-members.
The event will be held at the , 735 Mt. Wilson Lane, Pikesville. North Oaks is also the sponsor.
