Here's a few pieces of info that everyone already knows.
First, it's hot. Very hot. And second, there's not a heck of a lot we can do about it except make an effort to stay cool.
We can joke about that and laugh on it for a long time, but the bottom line is that this is a heat wave which can be very dangerous to people's health. There's been days with a heat index in the 110-degree range.

That's not good. So the best thing that people can do is something very simple.
Stay out of it.

So here's some suggestions about what to do while we endure the final few days of this rotten heat wave.
1. Go to the movies, that's a place which is usually cool.
2. Go to places that are cool where you can sit for awhile, like a bookstore (Barnes & Noble comes to mind quickly)
3. Go to place where you can also have fun and stay awhile. You could go bowling and chill out there for awhile.
4. The timing of this would be fun-- go to an ice rink and skate for awhile. Been to a lot of hockey games, trust me, you'll stay cool.
5. Find a nice place to eat that's cool and you can relax.
This ends a rather unscientific and general list of things to do to beat this heat. Hope everyone gets through it ok.
