Thank You For Participating in LifeBridge Health's 3rd Mammothon!

The 2018 LifeBridge Health Mammothon screens a record number of women

More than 150 women took part in the 2018 LifeBridge Health Mammothon, 50% increase who participated last year. The LifeBridge HealthMammothon is an all-day breast cancer screening event which provides extended morning and evening hours at multiple locations in Northern Baltimore City, and Carroll and Baltimore counties.*

The Mammothon was created to encourage women juggling busy lives to have yearly mammograms when it fits more conveniently into their schedules. This year, screenings were held at Northwest Hospital, Carroll Hospital, Advanced Radiology sites in Pomona Square, Owings Mills and Eldersburg, and at Community Radiology Associates in Mount Airy.

Routine mammograms are vitally important because early detection can find breast cancer before there are symptoms. When that is the case, it often means the cancer is still small, has not spread to other parts of the body and can be more effectively treated. The age to begin having yearly mammograms should be discussed with your own doctor.
