I-695 Vehicle Fire Clears Near I-70
Drivers taking the outer loop of I-695 experienced delays in the area of I-70 Tuesday afternoon, officials advised.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD - A vehicle fire caused delays for drivers on Interstate 695 Tuesday afternoon on the west side, according to transportation officials. The fire broke out on the outer loop of I-695 in the area of I-70 shortly after 12:30 p.m., officials reported.
After 1 p.m., the right lane and shoulder were closed on I-695 at I-70 on the outer loop. Officials advised travelers to expect congestion in the area.
As of 1:20 p.m., authorities said that the incident had cleared. All lanes were open.
