What’s in a Name? Zip, Zip, Zyzyx!

Enter through the gallery doors at and you’ve walked into a world of beautiful and exquisite handmade jewelry, Judaica, glass, ceramics and furniture.

What’s not to love about this boutique gallery? 

There's unique art, wares and products from all over the world.

“We’ve [my husband and I] have been customers of Zyzyx! for over 18 years,” said Michele Rubin, the owner. The Rubins purchased the store because they wanted to keep it in business and retain its meaningful history.

Generations of mothers, daughters and grandmothers have shopped at this neighborhood mainstay for holiday gifts, anniversary presents, birthday gifts and other gems.

Shoppers can find ceramic plates, glass ornaments, metal art and paintings on one side of the store. Step just a few feet away, and you’re in the , Zyzyx!’s little sister shop.

Although the name sounds like an homage to the '60s, Peace Love is a “tween” girl’s and “fashionista’s” dream world. 

Here you’ll find an assortment of pillows, shorts, T-shirts, mugs, jewelry, bags and backpacks—just to name a few things—for every girl. The vivid colors encourage shoppers to peruse every last item in the shop. 

“I would go to New York for camp stuff for the girls [her daughters]. … That’s when I decided to open the Peace Love Shop,” said Rubin.

The “girly-girl” boutique opened alongside a relocated Zyzyx! after it moved from Festival at Woodholme to The Shops at Quarry Lake in November 2010.

And ladies, there are plenty of creations to freshen up any closet: shirts, bags, hats and sweats. Collections include designs by Kalencom and Juicy Couture.
