Woman 'Deceased for Some Time' Found in Pikesville: Police

The Baltimore County Police Department and the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner are investigating after a woman’s body was found in Pikesville Sunday night.

At 7:25 p.m. on Sunday, someone called 911 and said that a body was found near a home in the 300 block of Church Lane in Pikesville, according to a statement from the Baltimore County Police Department.

A family returning home from a trip discovered the body of Irene Kuperstein, 88, who had been reported missing last week, behind a residence in Pikesville, WBAL reported.

“It appeared that she had been deceased for some time,” police said of the woman, who has not yet been positively identified.

The body was taken to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner for identification, which will likely not be confirmed until Tuesday morning, police said.
