• Pocomoke City's Starbucks among 250 set to close across North America (delmarvanow.com) — Pocomoke City's only Starbucks, on Newtowne Boulevard, is slated to close as part of a companywide shutdown of about 250 underperforming North American locations. Mayor Todd Nock says city staff are already working on future uses for the highly visible building and considering broader issues like Route 13 access, while Starbucks promises transfers or severance for affected employees.
   

• Pocomoke City Appoints New Chief of Police (wmdt.com) — Pocomoke City has named Richard "Andy" McGee as its new police chief, bringing back a familiar face who began his career as a patrol officer with the local department. City leaders are highlighting his three decades of law enforcement experience, including service in Worcester and Somerset counties and as Snow Hill's police chief since 2019.
