• Rabbis demand action, as families pull out of public schools in heavily Jewish Maryland county (jns.org) — Jewish families from Congregation Har Shalom in Potomac are increasingly pulling children from Montgomery County Public Schools, saying they no longer feel safe or supported as antisemitic incidents rise. Local rabbis, including Har Shalom's leader, are pressing the district for concrete training, classroom programs, and measurable progress against Jew-hatred ahead of the 2026–27 school year.
   

• Potomac Rabbi Named URJ's Assistant VP of Movement Building (washingtonjewishweek.com) — A Potomac rabbi and resident, Michael Namath, has been tapped as the Union for Reform Judaism's first assistant vice president of movement building, a national leadership role. He'll focus on strengthening connections among rabbis, educators, and congregations, drawing on decades of experience with the URJ and its social justice initiatives while continuing to support key programs.
