• Trench Collapse Traps Utility Worker in Potomac: MCFRS (patch.com) — Emergency crews rushed to a Potomac home on Falls Bridge Lane after a trench collapsed and trapped a utility worker up to his shoulders during a waterproofing job. Specialized technical rescue teams, shock trauma staff, and a Maryland State Police helicopter responded, keeping the man conscious and stable while carefully digging him out. Nearby roads between Falls Road and Newhall Road are closed, and drivers are urged to avoid the area.
   

• Montgomery County police drones assist in locating missing girls, arresting burglary suspect (fox5dc.com) — Montgomery County police recently used a drone to help catch a suspected burglar at a home on Enid Drive in Potomac, filming the break-in and guiding officers to an arrest. Just two days earlier, the department's Drone as First Responder program also helped safely locate two missing girls with autism in Silver Spring, highlighting how this technology is being used in local emergencies.
   

• Bus Shelter Robbery, Road Rage Gun Incident and Auto Thefts Among Incidents in Weekend Crime Summary (mocoshow.com) — Montgomery County police logged several weekend crimes in the 1st District, which includes Rockville and parts of Potomac, ranging from a bus‑shelter robbery to a recovered handgun. Additional incidents across other districts included vehicle thefts, assaults, and weapons offenses, offering Potomac residents a broader snapshot of nearby safety concerns to keep on their radar.
