• Federal judge dismisses former Ridgely Police officers' claims against town, Caroline County Sheriff (wboc.com) — Ridgely residents are learning that a federal judge has thrown out all federal claims by eight former town police employees who challenged how the town and Caroline County Sheriff handled the 2024 disbanding of the department. The ruling leaves Ridgely still relying on the Sheriff's Office for policing and pushes remaining state-law claims, if pursued, into Maryland courts.
