DC Man Charged with Killing Girlfriend in Suitland
The couple apparently argued and Devin Wooten then shot and killed his girlfriend, Tamu Bynum, say Prince George's Police.

A Washington, D.C., man has surrendered to Prince George’s County Police on charges that he shot and killed his girlfriend in an argument.
The suspect is 43-year-old Devin James Wooten of the 2300 block of Pitts Place in Southeast Washington.
On Aug. 10 at about 7 p.m., patrol officers were called to the 3200 block of Sycamore Lane for the report of a shooting. When they arrived, they found Tamu Bynum, 43, in her home suffering from apparent gunshot wounds. She was pronounced dead on the scene.

The preliminary investigation reveals the victim and Wooten argued, which escalated into the shooting. Bynum and Wooten were in a relationship, police said.
On Monday, Wooten turned himself in to detectives at police headquarters in Palmer Park. He’s charged with second-degree murder.
