University Park Historic Preservation Association Annual Potluck Supper

The 2010-2011 season will mark the University Park Historic
Preservation Association's 15th birthday.  Most years since 1996, the
group has begun a season of presentations, field trips, and
celebrations with an October potluck supper, and this year is no
exception.

All town residents are cordially invited to join UPHPA on the evening
of October 21 at 6:30 for this year's potluck supper.  Over dessert,
we will introduce the UPHPA Planning Board and review some of the
exciting activities and presentations planned for the year.  Then, our
special guest Ms. Susan G. Pearl, historian of the Prince George's
County Historical Society, will provide an overview of the society's
organization, its upcoming programs, and how membership in that
organization might benefit UP residents.  We'll close the evening with
a discussion of plans for UP's 75th birthday in 2011.

Plan to join UPHPA on the evening of October 21 in Custis Hall
at Riverdale Presbyterian Church to help celebrate the past, the
present, and a bright future for University Park as we begin to plan
for a year long celebration.  Please bring a covered dish to share
with 6-8 friends and neighbors.
